“A Wonderful Glamping Experience”

If you are used to camping this is a very special experience. We stayed for 4 nights at the start of a 19 day holiday & found plenty to do during the daytime, having organised in advance a day at Elephants’ World & a day tour of the river Kwai, Erawan Falls, etc through Mellow Trek. We also borrowed bikes (there are lots, so take time to choose one that works to your liking) & cycled / walked to the Hell Fire Pass Museum (plenty of energy needed !). Food was really good with lots of variety, staff were all helpful & friendly, bed was comfy & the freshwater pool & sun deck were a bonus. As others have said, if you like to party, this isn’t for you, but that’s fine with action packed days, coupled with some lovely relaxation. We had a problem a couple of times with the tent zip not closing, but this was fixed within 5 minutes. No problem with the shower or hot water. Take coat hangers to solve the problem of no wardrobe. We would definitely recommend the camp, but with some activities booked or your own transport if you stay for 4 days like us.

“What a fantastic experience”

We spent two wonderful nights here in February. We arrived late afternoon at this place and our first impressions were WOW! The camp itself is located in the jungle next to the river Kwai. Don’t worry about having to slum it as the African style tent have all the mod cons even aircon. After a very swift check in we dumped our stuff and headed for the riverside pool and floating deck area, the beauty of this will blow your mind. We then sat on one of three large decking areas overlooking the river having a few beers. Then we went for our buffet style lantern lit evening meal which is in the middle of camp, this again was fantastic. We hired a longboat which took us down the river to a local forest village which was beautiful, then we hires kayaks and paddled down the river which was fantastic. That evening we took advantage of the free mountain bikes and had a great ride around the local village. Breakfast gives loads of choice and us cooked well, which again us eaten on the lovely deck area overlooking the river. We visited hellfire pass museum which was very close and well worth the time to pay our respects. I can not recommend the experience of staying here enough, do it you will love it.

“A great stay in Hintok River Camp”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

A really nice place plunging you into nature without depriving you of comfort.
The camp is pleasant, all tents are situated around a campfire place where you can enjoy a convivial bbq at night.
The reel plus of Hintok River Camp is the natural spring pool overlooking the River Kwai and the particularly nice staff working there.
In brief, it was a nice stay !
